About Cromwell

Cromwell Schubarth is an instant film photographer who grew up with the medium from a very young age. His father was a photo engineer in the Boston area at Polaroid during the height of its popularity.

Cromwell has a special fondness for expired Polaroid films and plans to shoot them as long as they continue to exist and surprise him.

He also works with films from Impossible Project and its later iterations as Polaroid Originals and Polaroid, as well as Fuji, New 55 and Supersense.

His work has been featured in the annual Rayko Plastic Camera show in San Francisco, in the former Lomography store in San Francisco and in a 12:12 Project exhibition he curated in San Jose.
